Crowns

In our office we offer several full coverage restorations or crowns to restore tooth function. We offer all ceramic crowns, porcelain fused to metal crowns and full metal crowns. We will be glad to help you decide which restoration is right for your mouth! Crowns restore broken, tired, and cracked teeth to their full potential!

Do you have a tooth that is majority filling? Then, a crown may be just the treatment you need to prevent the tooth from breaking and cracking.

Call us today to set up a consultation appointment with Dr. Shelley or Dr. Kerri!

Removable Partial Dentures

Are you missing multiple teeth in one arch? If so, a partial denture is an affordable treatment option to replace every missing tooth in an arch. The removable partial denture will restore chewing ability and also help maintain proper vertical dimension. If you feel like this may be an option for you, call today for an appointment and let us explain more about removable partial dentures to you in our office.

Complete Dentures

Do you have a worn out denture or are you missing all your teeth? Do you need something to eat with? A new complete denture may be your answer! Here at North Laurel Family Dentistry we use the best  dental laboratory that fabricates the most esthetic dentures around. Not only do our patients love the way their dentures function but they absolutely love their natural appearance. Call us today if you need a denture or just want a new one!

Veneers

A porcelain veneer is a thin shell of porcelain that bonds to the front of the tooth. They can be used to change characteristics of teeth including color, shape, and length. They can correct wear, rotation, and discoloration. They can also close spaces and restore chipped teeth. They are a conservative treatment choice that involve minimal tooth reduction and sometimes no tooth reduction at all.

Are you a candidate for porcelain veneers? If you are interested in a more beautiful and esthetic smile, call our office today for a consultation!

Dental Implants

Have you lost a tooth and need to replace it? A dental implant may be the treatment for you! A dental implant is comprised of a screw that acts like the tooth root, a crown and an abutment, a piece that attaches the crown to the screw.   The screw “osseointegrates” into the jawbone before the crown is put on.

If you are an uncontrolled diabetic, a smoker or have undergone bisphosphonate treatment this is not the best option for you. But for the majority of patients, a dental implant is an outstanding treatment option that can restore form and function that might be lost due to a missing tooth.

Tooth Colored Fills

Are you tired of dark fillings?  We offered tooth colored fillings in a variety of colors that will match your teeth perfectly!  These bonded restorations have proven to have a superior long term prognosis.

Crown Lengthening

Do you want to restore a tooth but feel there isn’t enough left to restore?  Or, do you think you have teeth that are too short?   Fear no more!  Crown lengthening may just be the treatment for you.  This treatment involves removing a minimal amount of tissue to lengthen the height of the teeth above the bone.  It has a variety of applications and has great long term result.

Periodontal Treatment

The periodontium, or gum apparatus, is the cornerstore of the mouth.  Without healthy gums, teeth cannot exist which is why Dr. Shelley and Dr. Kerri place so much emphasis on maintaining optimal oral health beginning with the gums.  We offer a full range of periodontal treatment and even have a gum specialist in our clinic one day a week for those patients who have advanced disease.  If your gums are sore or bleed when you floss or brush, you need to have them evaluated soon to eliminate infection caused by bacteria.

TMD Splints

Do you ever wake up with headaches or sore facial muscles?  Have you ever chipped or broken a tooth during your sleep?  You may be suffering from Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD).  TMD is a debilitating disease that can affect every aspect of a person’s daily routine.  We have several treatment options to treat TMD and would be happy to evaluate you to see which one would be best for you.  There is an answer for TMJ problems!  Suffer no longer!

Root Canal Therapy

Are you frightened by the words “root canal?”  Please don’t be!  A root canal is simply removing nerve tissue and placing a filling in the root.  We offer the lastest root canal therapy technology and will make your root canal experience pleasant.  Do you have a tooth that hurts?  This may be the simple treatment you need to keep your tooth!

Whitening

Are your teeth darker or more yellow than they used to be?  We have three different teeth whitening options, including the  ZOOM! whitening system.  Come by and let us help you decide which option would be best for you and your smile!  Whitening teeth can take years off of the biological clock!

Bridges

Do you have a missing tooth, and you are tired of having the space? Well, let us help restore this space with a bridge. This is a cemented option that works well if adjacent teeth have crowns or need crowns. Let us help you today to decide if this would be the right treatment for you!

Snoring

Snoring can be a real problem, not only for the person who snores, but for the partner and other family members who live with the snorer. However, there is a solution for a more restful night’s sleep. This affordable device is flexible, thin and comfortable for your patients, and it exhibits documented clinical success in mitigating or even preventing the disruptive, unhealthy effects of snoring and sleep apnea.

Athletic Guards

Sports accidents happen daily.  Prevent permanent damage for your athlete with an athletic guard.  Athletic guards are an inexpensive option that can prevent breaks, fractures, and even tooth loss.  Ask Dr. Shelley or Dr. Kerri about them at your next visit.  Don’t wait until the damage is done!
